THROWING WEAPONS

 

Throwing something at your opponent does the max damage your weapon shows if you are powering up the throw at the same time.  If you use GOLDEN ARM, you can have +100% thrown weapon damage which is insane.  I have seen a player do 43 damage with GOLDEN ARM + SURVIVAL SPEAR.  GG

Example .. Crafted Knife is 5-15 damage.  Throw full power for 15 damage, or 30 with GOLDEN ARM. Get 3 crafted knives for 6 FUNC, and if you can hit your opponent all 3 times, hes at 10 health and bleeding.


Thrown weapons no longer get any bonus from backstab perks and plays.

The bleed bonus duration perks do not apply to thrown weapons (+100% duration to bleeds spear/knife)
 

BLEEDS

 

Bleeds if used correctly are insanely good.  You may think that a tier 3 weapon is good but if it has 1 wound intensity for a bleed, it is garbage and you'd be better off using a crafting knife, sad but true.

18 damage over 12 seconds.

Tip:  If they are using a weapon that cannot bleed you, hit them once, then just run from them for 10-12 seconds, and your bleed will have dropped their health a lot, then go back in.  This tactic is great to use, basically whenever you are using a bleed weapon, don't wildly flail your weapon -- hit them and bleed them, then let the bleed do the work. 

 

WEAKNESS (axes, bludgeons)

 

 

WEAPON RATING: *
WOUND INTENSITY 1  

10% reduction in damage.

 

WEAPON RATING: **

WOUND INTENSITY 2 

20% reduction in damage.

 

WEAPON RATING: ***

30% reduction in damage.

 

 

BLOWGUNS

 

Blowguns can be crafted.  

branch+rock= caitrops + branch = BLOWGUN

 

Blowguns can be refilled at any poison pylon. 

5 FUNC = 3 poison darts.  Blowgun can only hold 9 darts at once.

 

Blowguns cause your enemy to throw up twice, each time he throws up, you can hit him without him blocking.  Most people when they get hit with the blowgun know to run away because of the not being able to block factor.

 

The CRIPPLE perk that goes with the blowgun lasts for 5 seconds.

The
SICKNESS DEBUFF is not affected by how long you draw itback, it always causes the enemy to vomit twice.


 

HEADSHOTS

 

HEADSHOTS with bows simply add 10 damage.  This means all the bows (crafted, compound, recurve) all get the same bonus from scoring a HEADSHOT.

 

 

CRAFTABLE TRAPS

 

Punji Sticks

BRANCH + POISON PYLON = Punji Sticks

(3 punji sticks each time.)

5 F.U.N.C.

Apply sickness debuff (throw up twice) and deals a small amount of damage.

 

Steel Snare

ROCK+BRANCH = Caitrop

4 F.U.N.C.

CAITROP + ROCK = Steel Snare

(4 snares each time.)

8 F.U.N.C.

Allows one free hit from behind, person trapped must "interact" with trap for over 4 seconds to get out or take damage.

Does more damage than Punji Sticks.
